ABOUT THE CHARITY
One Song Foundation is a charity organisation that aims to make this world a better place One Song at a time and support young people & charities create music, film, and theatre.
Our ACNC registered charity's goal is to provide Queensland youth music and performing arts programs that will foster culture, promote participation in the arts, and encourage cultural diversity. We also produce social impact songs, videos, and events that will promote reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance between groups and individuals in Queensland.
One Song Foundation’s most recent multicultural project led and driven by young people was a social impact music project called "We're In This Together 2021" for World Teacher’s Day, which was featured on Channel 7, ABC Radio Brisbane, and Channel 9 News. The project was led by 30 culturally diverse students from different schools across Australia (QLD, VIC, NSW, ACT), New Zealand, and the UK who came together to sing an original song that encompasses love, respect, cultural diversity, gratefulness, and togetherness. The video is a display of true unity as the students came from Caucasian, First Nations, Maori, African, Asian, Indian, and Muslim backgrounds.
Our charity was founded by Daniel Chen aka. Kenji Lee who is a part-time Australian high school teacher of Taiwanese and Japanese heritage. He recently produced & directed an anti-bullying short film “Slugger” with Former World Boxing Champion Jeff Horn for National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence 2021, which was also well received by news outlets and schools.

One Song Foundation is here so that young people from any culture, gender, and background can pursue their passion in the creative industry. Our upcoming “Multicultural Youth Filmmaking, Screen Acting & Music Composing Program 2022” will be a project that provides culturally diverse young people the skill set and platform to make their dreams come true.
